IELTS Opinion Writing Samples Band 6
It is true that today, we face a rise in the number of one-person households in many modernized countries. I would argue that this statement is a negative trend in the world.
Several people believe that environmental pollution can be solved by increasing the prices of fuels for cars and other vehicles. However, this may help with the reduction of pollutants in the world, still it is not a significant idea to solve the environmental problems. Government should start some more effective plans, such as using biofuels and ban some vehicles. Therefore, I disagree on the former statement.
In this globalisation era, there are so many families who tend to spend their lives for livelihood rather than engage with their family members. In my perspective, there are two reasons for this phenomenon, which are workaholic and time management.
The issue of government support for artists triggers a discussion between advocates who argue in favor of providing financial assistance and skeptics who perceive it as an unnecessary expenditure of funds This essay will discuss both views and offer my own opinion.
It is debatable that some students prefer to go to college or institutes for higher studies after passing from school, while other wishes to explore more partial scenarios by joining organizations or small-scale business. Both aspects have their own perspective and value advantages as per requirements. In this essay, I will explain both views with relevant examples and share my opinion.
Nowadays, with technological advancement many devices like smartphone and tablets act as source of enjoyment for many individuals. My essay will explain demerits of this approach such as lack of focus in studies among children and promotion of sedentary lifestyle due to less physical activities. Also, explain one merit which acts like a stimulant to change mood among individuals.
Today, with the development of technology,we can easily watch sports so it have major role in our lives. But others believe that sports are just a tool to help people entertain and relax in their free time. In my opnion, i completely agree with the first opinion because sports promote world development.
Government funds are not only spent on providing science education, but these also invested on rest of the subjects. Individuals argued that science curiculum plays a pivoal role to advance a nation, so spending money on teaching science should be priority of the government. But, I believe that investing in other subjects is also important for a well-rounded education and a diverse workforce. I will shed some light on both view with a conclusion at the end in the upcoming paragraphs.
It is true that nowadays in many big cities, there are regular traffic jams, which may be caused by the dramatically increased number of car owners. Personally, I believe that there are some steps that governments can take to prevent this problem caused by car over usage.
Crimes are increasing day by day. Most of the crimes have been done by teenagers because of the lack of social and emotional guidance from their guardians and teachers. I endorse the statement to a large extent . I have some solid grounds to defend my opinion which I would like to explicate at length in the paragraphs to come.
It is claimed by some that the main function of music is to decrease the level of nervousness and distress. Personally, I completely disagree with this opinion, and in this essay, I will explain why I believe so.
Some individuals may believe that the government’s investment should not be applied to culture, such as theatre and music, which they see as a waste of money. I totally disagree with this statement because culture has not only a relevant economic impact on the country, but also a significant educational importance.
While opponents believe that young people should spend their first years playing rather than studying, proponents adopt a diverse view. I am of the belief that children should spend more time playing and having fun before they start school.
There is no doubt that these days we are living in an educational era . Some people argue that all individuals have the right to study and that the government should be responsible for making studying at a university free and available for everyone not based on their financial situation. In this essay, I will discuss this argument and provide my point of view.
A large part of society believes that the parenting should be taught to children in their schooling. I am complelety with the above statement because after learning about being a good guardian, our youngsters may start involving in taking care of small kids as well as old people around. Apart from this, such trainings can be a great idea for developing nation of mature and intellegent generations.
Some people argued that drug companies should invest their money on medical research and drug discovery to address health issues in developing countries, while others suggested that prioritizing their profitability should be their main focus. Personally I can understand the two opposing points of view and it is a controversial issue which deserves an in-depth discussion.

One of the widely discussed topic issues nowadays is that an ethical demand today for the prosperous states of the world to aid the unfortunate countries evolve in terms of feeding the people, enlightenment and medical aid. Now people are begging to realise that the situation of poor countries is getting worse without helping of developed countries. Personally, I tend to think that the supporting the impoverished nations is a moral obligation of rich countries.

After deadly Covid-19 pandemic, some people consider that health care workers who make a huge contribution to society should earn more than sports and entertainment people. In this essay I will advocate why I completely agree with this proposal, highlighting doctors, nurses and teachers’ efforts in order to improve whole society.
