IELTS Opinion Writing Samples Band 6
Governments spend a lot of funds on renovations of old buildings in large cities. Many public believe that the budget should be used for developing new houses and developing roads. Personally, I think that spending fund on building new houses and developing roads are better.
Nowadays, foreign movies and shows hold a good position in viewers' watch lists. Therefore, the majority of individuals opine that it's a good method to telecast countries' cultures worldwide. However, others believe that these programs should be locally produced. Therefore, ahead of my stance, both viewpoints would be discussed.
Today is the era of advanced science and technology. In the last few years, it has grown rapidly and has brought significant impacts on all aspects of human life. Specifically, children have changed their habit activities in their spare time. From my perspective, this tendency has the drawbacks outweigh the benefits and I will explain the reason in this essay.
Nowadays, Artists play a vital role in a country, when they contribute for reputation of the nation by their works of art. People hold conflicting views about whether creative artists should be given financial support or funded by alternative sources. While people believed that designers ought to be supported by other sources. I would argue both opinions before forming my point of view.
Education is the most important weapon, which can be used to change the world.On comparing to the past, people have more awareness of education.Some people think the purpose of education should lead to self-fulfilment whereas I and others believe that the purpose of education is to prepare to make good members of society. In the following paragraphs, I will explain both views and my opinion.
These days, more and more individuals who suffer some health issues tend to look for alternative solutions rather than relying on their regular specialists. In my opinion, this trend has a range of positive effects for several reasons.
The danger of nuclear guns assist to spread the peace in the world. Nuclear power offer inexpensive and friendly energy. I totally agree with this statement that the merits of nuclear energy outweigh demerits because it provide cheap energy, eco-friendly.
Accommodation has been considered one of the most important issues in societies.In this regard,in some parts of the world,buying a place to live has more advantages rather than renting ones.In my view, the first action, buying homes, is better than renting for many reasons.In this essay, I will support my opinion with reasonable examples.
Because of the technical development, computers are more and more important in life and work, replacing handwriting in many situations. Due to this importance, many people suggest that students should learn how to use a computer to read and write. They believe that in the future, handwriting will be not essential anymore. Although students should know how to use computers for their studying, I suppose that writing by hand will not disappear in the future.
In this concurrent world , some individuals argue that people from different countries and cultures are have more benefit in country growth. In fact , I strongly agree with this point of view for two reasons.
Some people believed that wild animals must not exist in this century. Moreover, they argue that keeping them is not beneficial. I am completely disagree with this opinion.
It is believed that authorities should spend funds on public services such as schools, hospitals, transport and so on rather than spending it on space programmes. I would disagree with this view because, in my opinion, the authority is doing it to help its citizens. The paragraph below will discuss more about it.
It is considered by someone that learning and studying history lessons in the official education era, is crucially vital for students, while they are others who think that in the current modern life that is sometimes called the technology and internet century, other study fields such as science and technology should be considered as first priority to be taught in educational spheres. There are rational arguments on both sides of this contentious topic which will be discussed in detail, followed by my own take on the matter.
It is true that all vehicles will be without drivers in the future. The people would be the passengers rather than being drivers. Although, there are some drawbacks to this fact, I personally believe the advantages would be more outstanding. Some pros and cons of this matter will be addressed in this passage.
There is a debate about whether raising taxes on industries can help reduce pollution or if there are better alternatives. While some people believe in the effectiveness of increasing taxes, others argue that other practical ways can solve this problem. In my view, I firmly agree with the second opinion.
Nowadays, corporations promote their products and prefer to focus on the new in some way, which causes a heated debate that whether the advertisement should emphasize the new instead of their pragmatic effect.
People have conflicting views on financial support to creative artists such as painters and musicians should come from governments or alternative sources. In my opinion, I would argue that governments should fund their artists instead of alternative sources.
Nowadays, science plays a crucial role in any aspects of human’s life. In this condition, some people claim that scientists are supposed to take the improvement of individuals’ life as their major goal. I totally agree with this sentiment.
Some people believe that children should begin formal education as early as possible. However, another people believe that it should not begin until 7 years old. In the following essay, I will discuss a couple of merits and drawbacks and present my own view at the end.
The states is expenditure a significant amount of funds to detect life on alternative planets. Some individuals believe that lawmakers should spend these money to tackle the issues of people rather than wasting money in space researches. I totally agree with this statement, because space programs is waste time and money and do not beneficial for ordinary people.
