In many countries, an increase in crime rate has been blamed on violent images on television and in computer and video games. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is argued by some that crime is becoming more prevalent due to exposure to violence displayed on TV and over computer games. It is true that such display of violence could have negative psychological impacts, however, I tend to think that poverty has contributed more to the increased number of crimes.
