IELTS Opinion Writing Samples Band 7.5
It is believed that to make a child excel in life one needs to create a competitive environment in his surroundings so that he can achieve success. But few people are of the view that schools are too competitive and this has a negative impact on children and some individuals believe that it is good to create a competitive environment to encourage children to achieve goals. In the following ,paragraphs I will discuss both these views along with my opinion.
These days, whenever you turn on the television or flick through the newspaper pages, you will learn about the victims of crime. It is believed by many that there are more chances of committing crimes after getting out of jail by the prisoners. I don't think it is true completely because many individuals become good people after punishment. In this essay, I will explore the reasons behind this problem and will try to draw some conclusions.
Punctuality and discipline are pivotal to any person's behaviour especially children because they learn and make a mindset at a very young age. It is believed that young ones should be punished to understand what is right and wrong at an early age. I completely disagree with this statement and I also do not believe that parents and teachers should be allowed to give the same so as to teach good behaviour to children.
It has been found that the population count of the younger population is comparatively more than that of the older generation. In my opinion, it has more drawbacks than benefits to offer to the community or a country.
Nowadays heavy traffic is one of the big challenges faced by any nation. One way to overcome the traffic congestion complication is to impose a tax on personal vehicles. In my opinion, there are other ways to figure out this dispute which are suggested in this essay with relevant examples.
In this developing era of the internet, many facilities that have been developed make our life easier than before. It is because, the development of the internet has so many sources and is easy to access. But, with introduction of advanced technology has made people in this generation becoming more unsociable and love to be alone. I would fully agree with the statement as it has brought many disadvantages towards our people.
In modern times, languages have received a great deal of public attention. It is often said that it is common for people to live in countries where they have to speak a foreign language, however, this can cause several social and practical issues. I partially agree with this point of view for the reasons I will discuss below.
It is observed that there has been a colossal upsurge in wastage all across the world because of increased consumerism; however, this situation can be controlled if ruling authorities take pertinent actions to reduce waste.

Many children are suffering from a number of health problems such as obesity, diabetes, and depression hence the government should protect the heir’s health through implied laws and regulations against some food items that are harmful to offspring. So I agree with this statement.

In the new era, a growing issue of people becoming dangerously overweight. To solve the above problem, one school of thought holds that some people propose increasing the cost of high-calorie foods. While I accept that their perception is somewhat justifiable, I believe that individuals should also be self-conscious about their own weight status.
Recently, the law allowed ladies to take a break after delivering. While part of society thinks it is worthwhile others do not support it. I think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks due to the numerous reasons

While many believe that education is more important. I strongly believe that learning through real-life situations often offers a better perspective and is more effective.
Social media has been gaining more and more popularity these days. The majority of people have at least one social media account such as Facebook or Instagram, in which they spend their time a lot. Some people argue that online platforms are beneficial because they make it possible to connect with people everywhere in the world. However, many others suggest that these platforms have detrimental effects on our lives. I firmly agree with the latter for several reasons.

In order to achieve peace in society, it is crucial to place order and control by implementing strong foundations of punishment. Hence, I completely agree with this statement and I shall explain why in this essay.
Many argue that threats should be addressed by authorities, while others say that they should be solved by individuals. In my opinion, I believe that state organizations have significant opportunities to protect nature.
For me, I think the advantages of taking risks are more than the disadvantages. Taking risks will affect my personality and change my life. There are some reason why I think taking risks is worth it.
While many are of the argument that ex-prisoners will re-offend sooner or later. Although there is indeed a strong case to be made for this argument, my stance is that people who have been in prison are entirely likely to be better residents later.
It is considered by several people that music has a strong role to play in society, while other individuals think that it is a mere kind of amusement. From my perspective, I believe the educational values and occupation opportunities obtained from music should not be disregarded, although a large part of people listen to music for no particular purpose.
