Throughout the centuries the world has undergone various changes in many spheres, affecting family life as well. Analysis of characteristics and HIV risk factors among student MSM aged 15-19 in two cities in China

This study aims to learn about the characteristics of student MSM in China by analyzing relevant factors that may put them at risk of HIV infection, to provide evidence for targeted intervention. The online sampling used the standard respondent-driven sampling (RDS) method, with recruitment support from community-based organizations (CBOs) in Tianjin and Guangzhou. Multivariate logistic regression models were performed to identify factors correlated with multiple HIV risky behaviors. The SAS software was used for data analysis. A total of 449 subjects were recruited in this study, including 206 in Tianjin and 243 in Guangzhou. The multiple HIV risky behaviors of student MSM, in many cases, were found to correlate with parental or friends’ awareness of their same-sex sexual behavior, with some geographical differences.
