The dangers of smoking are well known, yet many people continue with this habit. What are the causes of this? How can we reduce smoking in society? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Smoking habit is known as a devastating behaviour which occurs in work environments and educational institutions. This is caused by the common notion of stress reduction attributed to the tobacco chemical substances among the employees and lack of parental guidance on their children. Several actions can be taken by giving special taxes to the cigarette industries and making campaigns on the importance of parent’s role in their kids.

Social media has become a part of our day-to-day life, offering us an effortless way to have fun, communicate with our loved ones and meet new people, however, some argue that without a doubt, social media has had a negative impact on society. I am completely in favour of that statement, for example, a 2011 study, showed that teens who spend too much time on social media are more likely to develop, anxiety, sleep deprivation and depression.

Twenty years ago, kids would go out and play with their friends, running, jumping and developing their imagination. Nowadays, most parents won't let them go out, as a result, the kids will have fun via TV or videogames, which can make them overstimulated at a very early age, developing unhealthy habits that could affect them their whole life, nonetheless, we can change their lives for good, starting with little things, like reducing the time they spend online.

In recent years, some members of society have said that mobile phones are antisocial and phones should be forbidden in certain areas as the way smoking has been banned. From my perspective, people can use phones wherever they want.

In this essay, I will examine the advantages of such a move that can significantly outweigh the disadvantages.

In modern society, it is no longer necessary to slaughter animals for producing food, or non-food products such as clothes or medicine. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

People are slaughtering animals for goods every single day, they kept doing this throughout their history. But the question is, Do people really need to kill animals for their meat, fur or hides? Do they have to produce goods by using animals? The answer is negative. Due to the development of technology, people have decreased their demand for animal products, instead, they are more likely to use non-animal products. From my perspective, it is an inevitable and rightful social trend.

Many people would argue that playing video games and watching TV programs are helpful, however, others would argue that they do not improve mental skills of children. I totally agree with the first argument and believe that these games and programs offer visual stimulants and environment for socializing to children which might improve their mental abilities.

In this day and age, Internationalisation has changed people's lifestyles, preferences and selection of attires to a greater extent. Many people believe that dressing sense denotes about person's character, values and tradition widely. I completely disagree with this concept and think that the way of dressing does not define a person's nature and morals. This essay will further elaborate on it in a supporting paragraph.

Higher education has expanded rapidly in recent years, and this is not likely to change in the near future. If employers continue to demand highly qualified graduates, more and more young people will choose higher education courses. Therefore, the increasing number of higher education courses is a result of higher demand from students and employers.

As someone who loved reading books growing up, I believe that books are essential and very useful in many ways. While I do agree that serious educational books are great because the main purpose of the book itself is for educational purposes, I believe people, in this particular context, children, can also get new knowledge from reading entertainment books. Besides, even if one reads any books that do not serve educational purposes as a main goal, I do not think it is a way of wasting someone's time as long as the book is suitable for one's age, understanding, and mental condition. Reading, in fact, is a great way to spend time, especially for children, and it would be even greater if they could find a source of entertainment through books.
