It is widely argued that the number of sophomore taking a gap year before entering university for further education is on the rise. This essay attempts to shed light on both the merits and demerits of this tendency before concluding that I am in favour of the former notion.

Since the Internet became known to the general public in the early 1990s, youngsters have been spending significant amounts of time online on the growth of platforms like YouTube and Instagram. In this essay, I will look into the problems on this matter in detail, and then propose some solutions.

“Prevention is better than cure”. Researching and treating diseases is too costly so it would be better to invest in preventive measures. To what extent do you agree?

The proverb “prevention is better than cure” suggests that it is more useful to prevent diseases than try to treat them after they already occur. This statement provokes very interesting but debatable choice between investing money in either preventative measures against different illnesses or the methods of treating various diseases. I totally agree that focusing more on the prevention of illnesses is a more sustainable and cost-effective approach for both government and citizens.

There is no denying the fact that some people believe that kids are wasting their time when they spend a lot of time reading stories instead of doing other activities. While it is a commonly held belief that allocating most of their time to activities may be more beneficial, there is also an argument that opposes it. In my opinion, I consider that reading is essential for kids in many ways.

An increasing number of people in some nations are starting to gain interest in knowing the history of the house they habituate. In my opinion, the main reason is the desire to reside in a home void of any legal issues but equally one without any horror stories. These information can be obtained by interviewing the past owners,the neighbours and even going to the city council.

It is an undeniable fact that, due to technological advancements more people prefer using digital books and newspapers instead of traditional ones in the predicted future.From my own perspective, the role of printed books or newspapers will be replaced by reading online for free.

In this present world, kids are often told that they can reach anything if they try hard enough. However, there are many benefits and drawbacks to this culture. This essay will elaborate on the benefits, which are raising the children's confidence to try new things and having bold dreams. On the other hand, there is a drawback to this situation, for instance, kids will have mental health issues if they can't obtain their dreams.

That means that it is a good opportunity to teach children different skills. Although I think that while art should be encouraged, it should not overshadow other academic subjects that are equally important for a child’s growth.
