There are various opinions on whether sugary goods must be priced higher to lead consumers to eat less sugar. In this essay, I will explain both views and explain why making sugary goods more expensive is useless to reduce consumption.

In modern society, purchasing items is no more related to necessity; it has become a status symbol and a leisure activity. Consumers are not buying things according to their needs but to show society the lifestyle they have. Even if, their finances do not allow it, they end up taking loans at high-interest rates. Therefore, all these unnecessary purchases leave them in heavy debt.

At present, technologies such as computers, videos, and social media play essential roles in the world. Moreover, individuals read electronic books on computers rather than paper books. However, some people believe that libraries should provide only paper books, while some argue that libraries should provide hi-tech media and computers for citizens to access the internet. In my opinion, I believe that public libraries should provide technologies for individuals.

The rising rates of young adults’ population have concerned some countries around the world. Firstly, many people believe that this group can be the greatest one for economic growth. Moreover, others argue that this trend can make the work environment extremely competitive among recently graduated students. In my opinion, it is highly advantageous for a country when the number of young people is higher than the old ones.

In our modern era, companies consider good advertisements to be a critical part of a successful enterprise where, in their advertising, they often indicate the new features available in their products to grab clients’ attention. This is mainly to make high profit and be well ahead of other businesses in their niche; however, I firmly believe that it is a negative development due to the firm focusing on money other than customer needs, as well as, products being identical with minor new features.

Plastic bags, plastic bottles and plastic packaging are bad for the environment. What damage does the plastic do to the environment? What can be done by the government and individuals to solve this problem?

Non-biodegradable materials cause negative effects on the environment and ecosystem at large. This has caused a lot of drainage blockage which has resulted in floods in the environment and pollution of the water. These damages can be controlled by the individuals through the use of the appropriate waste bins and ensuring that these non-decomposable items are disposed of correctly. Also, Government can set policies against the use of plastics in any form while the use of biodegradable materials is encouraged.
