It is commonly known that adolescents copy their behaviour and gain knowledge by reviewing elders. People are divided in their opinion regarding how much more benefit teenagers have by trying to be similar to adults. The following essay takes a look at both sides of the argument.

In the current era, knowing another language especially, English is an integral part of having better communication with the world. On the other hand, this event makes a contribution to Diminishing the mother tongue. In my opinion, this is a negative trend due to the reasons which will be discussed below.

While some people might argue that this trend is prone to be negative effects on society, I am of opinion that citizens can greatly benefit from this development.

We, human beings are social creatures who cannot always live alone. How to decide whom you would like to develop friendships with is a controversial issue. Some argue that choosing persons who are similar to yourself is a smart choice, others, however, claim that getting along with people who are different from your personality brings more advantages. Personally, I agree with the latter.

There are controversial perspectives heating a debate over the teachers’ influence in the educational environment with the development of technologies. While some people hold a strong view that lecturers can not act as a precursor to advanced schooling, the opposite makes a statement of disagreement. In my opinion, I would contend that people’s information achievement is facilitated by technological machines but the role of teachers is still important in education.

Due to a longer life span, many people are being forced to work past their retirement age. So, some people consider joining the workforce from a younger age as a solution. I believe it is not only beneficial for people but also for society.

Current days, people watch film everywhere when they have time. Many of them say that people do not need to pay money just to watch movies in the theater whereas others believe if they really want to feel all of the crucial aspects of the film, movie lovers have to go to the cinema. Personally, I am in the favour of the latter view.

You are employed by a large restaurant chain. Your line manager has written to you to ask your opinion on plans for the yearly staff trip in the coming winter. There are two options to choose from and your manager would like feedback on which you think is best. Option A: Take all the employees to a local restaurant with a small charge to each employee. Option B: Have a ‘pot luck’ dinner at the office, where everyone brings a dish that they have bought or prepared.

While I do see the benefit of having the meal at a local restaurant this year, I believe the ‘pot luck’ option is a better choice because there will be more variety, and it will help to build a sense of community.

These days, more and more families are not spending much time with their babies or they spend fewer moments with them and that can negatively affect them.
