Some individuals are of the opinion that the government is saddled with the responsibility of protecting the environment while others are of the contrary view that individuals should play the principal role. This essay agrees with the latter view that the main drivers of any meaningful change are the individuals as their respective little contributions add up to a tremendous effect that is productive. The essay will discuss both views.

The 21st century is undoubtedly the age of technology. The internet was invented so that people can share messages and interact with others. We make video calls no matter the distance. Cyberspace is a wonderful tool that helps us to keep in touch anywhere in the world. However, some websites can become an obsession and may encourage people to stay at home instead of going out to see their friends. I think the word tool is important here. In my view, it shows how impersonal this contact is.
