All children should study a foreign language, starting in the earliest grades. To what extent do you agree or disagree to this statement ?

Traditionally, children have begun studying a foreign language at later ages, such as, at the secondary school. However, educationists recommend that foreign languages should be introduced to all children in the earliest grades. I strongly agree with this opinion for the following reasons.

Full-time university students should spend a lot of time studying, but it is essential to be involved in other activities. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Whether full-time university students should strive to study or participate in activities, is the dilemma. If students could attain more activities, they could gain diverse experiences that are different from academic life.

In many countries, traditional customs are being lost Why would this happen? What do you think school and parent should do to keep these custom alive?

In recent years, it could be easily observed all around the world that traditional customs have been progressively vanished in the daily life of modern families. There are a variety of reasons behind this tendency, and in my firm conviction, there must be also actions which school and parent should take to keep the tradition alive for next generations.

Young people should do voluntary work during their free time. Do you agree or disagree?

There remains a controversy whether it is advisable for youngsters to perform voluntary tasks during their spare time. I am in all agreement that this will be advantageous for both students’ self-development as well as social living standards.

Crime rate, in most countries, is often higher in urban areas than in rural areas. Why do you think that is? What can be done to reduce the crime rate?

It is true to say that crime rate in big cities is generally higher than that in the countryside. This is mainly due to several factors that possibly widen the gap in the future. Thus, in this essay, I would like to suggest some viable preventions as follow.

In a technological society, it is commonly said that computers support learning better than real-life teachers. In my opinion, I disagree with this viewpoint.

It is widely said that the most effective way to boost the safety of road system is raising the legal age in using some vehicles such as cars and motorbikes. In my opinion, I totally disagree with this viewpoint due to many reasons.

Some people say that economic growth is the only way to end world poverty and hunger. Others say that economic growth is damaging the environment and should stop. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

There exists a controversial notion that the global impoverishment and the shortage of food would only be terminated if economic development were ensured to happen vigorously. However, others assert that this development brings extreme destruction to the natural habitats, which is by all means required to be ceased . This essay would make an attempt to shed some light on both assertions and I would like to give my own point of view.

Watching a live performance such as a play, concert, or sporting event is more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is said that going to theaters, concerts or stadiums to watch live performances is more amusing than watching 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 of those activities. Personally, I totally agree with this opinion.

Many people say smoking should be banned and some say it is not a good idea. What is your opinion on this?

Recently,there has been a bad trend among young people about the smoking problem to copy the style of adults. This is essential that people need to concern at the moment due to bad affection of tobacco to our health. Therefore the government and the public should ban all cigar advertising to control this issue.

In the past, shopping was a routine domestic task. Many people nowadays regard it as a hobby. To what extent do you think this is a positive trend? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Shopping is one of those essential needs normally in daily life. These days, for the most part people are keen on shopping as a hobby, but before people went shopping when they actually need. From my point of view, some people including myself think that this activity is a drawback trend in life nowadays.

It is expected that there will be a higher proportion of old people that that of young people in many countries in the future. Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

One of the rising tendency nowadays is that elders accounting for a higher percentage, on the contrary to the lowers figures for youngsters in many countries. From my perspective, I believe that this trend has more negative effects that could cause healthcare problems and economic stagnation.

Some people think that money is the best gift to give to young people, while others think other types of gifts are better for young people. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

People often prefer to buy gifts for young people, such as CDs or books. However, I strongly disagree with this view, as in my opinion cash is much more useful to young generations.

It is argued that teenagers ought to focus on all school curriculum. While others opined that teenagers should concentrate on the subjects in which they show more interest or performed well. In my opinion, teenager should focus on subject of their interest. This essay will discuss the both viewpoints; followed by reasoned conclusion.

Pollution causes many problems to the environment. It makes the air difficult to breathe and water unable to support life. Some people think that it is the government that should be responsible for cleaning up polluted areas while others think it is the job of private companies. This essay will look at both sides and then try to reach a conclusion.

One of the controversial issues is rewarding students who PRESENT the best academic results are more crucial than rewarding students who MAKE improvements. In my opinion, students who show their great efforts in their improvements are more worthy to receive the rewards.

High school is not just preparation for college. In fact, many students leave high school with no intention of going to college. Some join the military and others already have job prospects to pursue.

Multicultural societies, in which there is a mixture of different ethnic peoples, bring more benefits than drawbacks to a country. Do you agree or disagree?

There is no country in this world which is untouched by the phenomenon of multiculturalism.Some people say that union of different cultures might bring various problems like cultural loss and racism in a society.I firmly believe that multicultural communities have more advantages than disadvantages.

Women and man are commonly seen as having different strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, some people believe that it is right to exclude males or females from certain professions because of their gender. Do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is believed by some that as men and women have different traits, so it would be wise to eliminate each gender from certain professions. I completely disagree with this view. In my opinion, in present scenario, both sexes are performing well in every area of work and equal rights should be given to men and women.
