The threat of nuclear weapons maintains world peace but nuclear power provides cheap and clean energy. The benefits of nuclear technology far outweigh the disadvantages. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

With the dawn of the 21st century, it is often argued that nuclear arsenals keep the world safe and that nuclear energy is inexpensive and environmentally friendly. I agree with this aforementioned notion; however, there are some dangers that cannot be overlooked.

Some educationalists argue that non-exam, arts-based subjects, such as music, drama, art and craft, should be compulsory in the secondary-school curriculum. They believe that activities such as these can improve overall academic performance. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, many opinions suggest that students only focus on science subjects, but forget the crucial role of art-based ones. While many studies show that non-exam, art-based subjects help them, especially in secondary school , to improve their academic performance. Personally, I totally agree with this opinion because of the undeniable benefits it brings to students.

Drinks that have a high proportion of carbohydrates are immensely popular in all ages. Hence, a segment of society opines that high charges should be imposed on the products to discourage the consumption of sugar. I disagree with the aforementioned statement for the following reasons.

Many people think cheap air travel should be encouraged because it give ordinary people freedom to travel further. However, others think this leads to Environmental problem, so air travel should be more expensive in order to discourage people from having it. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Issues related to air travel are frequently being discussed these days. Growing concerns are becoming heated questions among the people that flights should be at affordable prices for the general public . While this view is rubbished by some critics who oppose it. This dissertation accedes with the given statement . Both sides have their logic to support their opinion which will be discussed in this dissertation before coming to any conclusion.

Some people argue that capital punishment is a brutal decision and should be abolished. Do you agree or disagree?

People have different views about the death penalty as some think that it is a ruthless judgement and should be discontinued. However, in my opinion, I believe that the death penalty should remain because not only can it serve as a deterrent to serious crimes but it also means that taxpayers’ money won’t be spent on taking care of the criminals, who have committed serious crimes, for life.

Many today feel that the home no longer plays the largest role in child development. In my opinion, though outside factors have become increasingly invasive, family life is still more influential.

Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling Is for governments to make it a legal requirement. To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste?

Nowadays, countries are contributing to combating different kinds of pollution, and one of which that is the most direct to people's daily life is the domestic garbage issue. In order to reduce the amount of garbage, some people say authorities must enact laws to mandate citizens to do recycling. In my opinion, I totally agree with this idea and think that humans are inherently lazy to do so and are aloof from environmental issues.

Being a celebrity-such as a famous film star and sport personality-brings problems as well as benefits. Do you think that being a celebrity brings more benefits or more problems?

Becoming a famous person like a superstar or sportsman will have drawbacks as much as benefits. Personally, I think that being a popular person can earn more profits than having some problems which are able to be solved. Therefore, advantages and disadvantages will be discussed.

Some claim that studying abroad has great benefits for a student’s home country. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, it is a common practice that many students travel to other countries to pursue their studies. Certain people believe that education in western countries enables one to develop their interpersonal skills and social contacts. A fraction of people opines that this has attributed positively to the home country. This has pros and cons, but in my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons.

In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers and books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Some people think that people will no longer buy newspapers and books in the future as they can get the same data and knowledge online for free. While the prediction may seem rather harsh, I agree with the statement because not only will online media completely replace traditional publishing due to greater accessibility but also because of their more up-to-date nature.

Topic 4: Many people decide on a career path early in their lives and keep to it. This, they argue, leads to a more satisfying working life. To what extent do you agree with this view? What other things can people do in order to have a satisfying working life?

It is argued that choosing a career to pursue at a young age and maintaining it for the rest of life facilitates having a more satisfying career. In my opinion, I partly agree with this opinion because I believe that apart from benefits gained when we decide our jobs early, owning job satisfaction requires more than that.

In order to study at university students are required to pay expensive tuition fees. Not all students can afford them so some people think that university education should be free for everyone. To what extent do you agree?

Nowadays, if students want to take admission to a university they have to pay high tuition fees, and a majority of them cannot afford it, so a section of society believes that higher study should be free for everyone. I strongly opine with this view.

The maintenance of public libraries is a waste of money because of computer technologies that have the same function. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is an irrefutable fact that the modern advancements in E-learning have taken leaps and bounds. It is often argued by some that spending funds on maintaining the public libraries would be a waste as all the information is available on the internet these days.However, I partially agree with this given notion because libraries still hold a valuable position in our society.

It is widely believed that one solution to environmental problems would be for governments to raise the pay for petrol. In my opinion, cars and other vehicles are the major contributors to air pollution and society prefers to use their own vehicles to transfer rather than using public transportation.

Over the past few years, women are being given more opportunities than during their past time. Whether it is widely objected that this would bring more demerits to mankind. From my perspective, I am strongly convicted that giving women more opportunities are crucial and beneficial for the development of civilization.

During the time of any job, application it is frequently seen that organizations are asking for various details. It is not clear for applicants to as why that information is required. Thus, one group feel it is relevant while others think it is redundant. This essay will discuss both views and will explain why it is crucial to collect them.

Over the past few years, there witnessed a dramatic increase in the crime rate globally. As a matter, many modifications have been made to justify the law in each case. Some people subject that the death penalty should be demolished. From my perspective, I am fully convicted that capital punishment should be kept maintaining the highest level of punishment, and changes should not be made to ensure proper order of the society.

In the present day due to advances in technologies has been increasingly popular the presence of international news in the routine of people. While some agree will be essential to have knowledge about international news, others believe this practice is unnecessary once local news is enough. I concur with the first group of individuals, having information from diverse parts of the globe is of paramount importance. This essay will discuss both sides and I will explain my point of view in detail.
