The world is facing its biggest environmental threat in recent times which can be attributed to several factors. Some people argue that the dominant problem is the loss of plants and animals while others believe we have many more grave challenges. While, I agree with the argument that loss of flora and fauna is a huge problem, yet, upsurge in global temperatures, pollution and unprecedented climate changes constitute a larger threat.

Book rooms either public or private squander for the nation's valuable assets and funds and it must be replaced with developed technology known as computers. Although this notion is favoured by one part of the society, in my opinion these machines cannot overcome the ancient way of spending time in libraries. The rate at which the Earth is being damaged through human activity is alarming. As awareness of this disturbing situation grows, actions are increasingly being taken to meet the challenge. Although world governments play key roles in the question of environmental health, it is strongly disagreed that their environmental efforts negate those of individuals. I will use both a personal experience I have had as well as non-government inspired initiatives undertaken in my country to illustrate this position.
