Nowadays, more and more teenagers acquiesce to the fact that spending their time earning money and gaining experience through discovering a new country during a gap year after graduating from high school is a better way to have experience than an educational institution. On the other hand, the majority of parents are considering this a waste of time with the main reason that the probability of getting a highly paid and decent job is relatively high with a diploma. The dispute has sparked a heated debate among people, while having pros and cons on both sides of the equation. However, I am strongly convinced that taking a gap year would lead to a positive impact on a student’s ability to adapt to a real-life situation and can make a huge difference in either personal or professional skills.
