Rising university fees and scarce employment prospects for graduates have led some people to say that universities should not teach art subjects, like philosophy and history, and only practical degree courses that maximises chances of employment. To what do you agree or disagree?

Due to increasing university fees and inadequate employment opportunities for graduates, people are of the opinion that the universities should offer more of the practical subjects, than teaching art subjects such as philosophy and history.I agree with the statement as practical subjects will help them to percieve the business world.

Some people think that some type of criminals should not go to prison, instead they should do unpaid work in the community. To what extent do you agree?

Variety of crimes are being punished by prison, however some people believe that certain offenders should not be imprisoned ,rather they should do community services. I agree that in some cases, prison may not be the best solution and community work will help them to rehabilitate. The first thing to consider is the young offenders, which are being involved in all type of crimes, can never be put into the prison. This is because the children’s mind can be moulded easily, so before giving them harsh punishment the whole matter should be looked for. "The restoration of old buildings in major cities around the world costs governments billions of dollars while this money should have been used for new housing and road development." To what extent do you agree or disagree to this statement?

Many governments around the world are running plans to restore old buildings is there Major cities. However, lots of people think that this money should be used to upgrade and create new infrastructure, like roads or new housing areas. I completely agree with this statement. Of course, there are certain benefits to renovate old buildings, especially those in major cities. First of all, if the buildings chosen to be restored carry some significant cultural representation, then I believe we should try to restore as many of them as possible.we need to keep these buildings to educate younger generations of the architecture of older times. Secondly, if the buildings’ inner structures are able to accommodate people,I believe it would be more cost-effective to restore old buildings than to build new ones.
