Nowadays, there is not agreement around what should be the goal of the universities. For some people, colleges must help students to increases their chances to get well-paid jobs, while for others their role is related to the possibillity to civilize individuals and nurture our societies and culture. In this brief dissertation, I'd like to discuss both point of view, as well as to draft a final conclusion pointing out a medium term among them.

Among individuals are some who assert that the rang of technology, which is available in today's world, increased the gap between citizens, whereas others disagree with this notion and opine that it decreased the gap among them. In my opinion, I completely agree with the first view. This essay will discuss both views and will explain why I support the first opinion.
