In the 21st century where the ability to communicate in English is crucial, schools globally are emphasizing it as a primary language, instead of the local one. As a consequence, many local languages are at risk of extinction. Moreover, the importance of English is being questioned. Personally, I believe measures to ensure the survival of native languages must be taken.

Viewing from a general prospectives, the essay discusses both viewpoints, i personally agree with the former for the following reasons.
