In contemporary society, there are two flows of opinion when discussing history: one claims that it has nothing or little to present, while the other believes that acknowledging the past history can enhance the present. During the course of this essay, I would like to deliberate on both views and give my opinion.

In the past, many of the greatest scientific discoveries in the field of medicine had been achieved by individuals alone. However, as dependence on technology increased in order to make new findings, more and more researchers were needed in multidisciplinary groups. This has led to a shift in how science is organized and funded. Companies' funding became increasingly crucial, and hence it has been argued that private matters should not drive health research. In my opinion, both companies and government have different roles.

I do agree with this notion as local trading is the heart of the local community. By this I mean, local factories and farmers may be threatened to close their production.
