Some people think it is important to construct new buildings rather than wasting money maintaining the old ones. To what extent, do you disagree or agree with this opinion?

Amid the fast-changing society, living conditions have ameliorated which leads to higher demand of improving city’s infrastructure facilities. There are some people believe that money should be utilized on new constructions rather than allotted to the old ones. From my perspective, I strongly oppose to the mentioned statement. To foster my argument, two main reasons will be provided in the following paragraphs: history’s values and expenses, its potential consequences.

Nowadays, the roles of each members and the format of a family has altered considerably. The kinds of changes that are happening and my opinion on these changes are to be outlined below.

Some modern artist receive huge sums of money for the things they create, while others struggle to survive. Governments should take steps to resolve this unfair situation. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

These days, art plays a dispensable role in our lives; unfortunately, however, not all of those creating arts have been successful in what they produced. While it is suggested that governments’ efforts to tackle this problem could be useless, others believe that there are convincing reasons why governments should take into account the difficulties that these artists confront. Personally, I would argue that governments should have responsibility in this case for some certain aspects.

More and more people want to buy clothes, cars and other items with famous brands. What are the reasons? Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

More consumers prefer purchasing necessities, vehicles, or electronic devices with well-known brands. In my perspective, this is a negative trend due to its hindrance to other less famous brands’ development and the main cause of this is that many people presume the products of those famous ones are usually more high-quality and reliable as well.

As a country develops, more people are able to purchase a car. Do you think that the positive for the individual outweigh the negatives for the environment?

In the new era of globalisation, the development of heavy industries, especially car manufacturing, has been inextricably intertwined with consumers’ needs and environment. It is believed that economic growth of a country will facilitate a major purchase of cars in the world. From my perspective, this practice will exert more severe pressures on the environment than benefits it brings to car buyers.

Some people say that economic growth is the only way to end hunger and poverty, while others say that economic growth is damaging the environment so it should be stopped. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

The debate between economic growth and the environment has always been controversial. While many people think economic growth should be put to a halt for the sake of the environment, I believe this growth is the only solution for hunger and poverty, and stopping it is not an option at the moment.

Some people believe that school children should not be given homework by their teachers, whereas others argue that homework plays an important role in the education of children. Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.

It is true that the crime prevention is a perennial problem in society. While imprisonment is effective in reducing crime, I believe that improvements on education are of greater importance.

The planet's population is reaching unsustainable levels, and people are facing shortage of resources like water, food and fuel. To what consequences may overpopulation lead? In your opinion, what measures can be taken to fight overpopulation?

The number of people on the planet is growing at an alarming rate; and coupled with it, numerous pressing issues are emerging with global warming being the most urgent. I believe to answer the overpopulation question successfully, education needs to be the centerpiece of our solutions

There is a controversial concern about working as some people state that doing their jobs at home is far more beneficial than working from office. There are two main advantages and one drawback which will be indicated with relevant examples in this essay.

Foreign visitors should pay more than local visitors for cultural and historical attractions. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is sometimes argued that tourists from overseas should be charged more than local residents to visit important sites and monuments. I completely disagree with this idea. The argument in favour of higher prices for foreign tourists would be that cultural or historical attractions often depend on state subsidies to keep them going, which means that the resident population already pays money to these sites through the tax system. However, I believe this to be a very shortsighted view. Foreign tourists contribute to the economy of the host country with the money they spend on a wide range of goods and services, including food, souvenirs, accommodation and travel. The governments and inhabitants of every country should be happy to subsidise important tourist sites and encourage people from the rest of the world to visit them. Nowadays, an increasing number of people spend a tremendous amount of money on buying extremely expensive things from famous brands. There are a host of reasons for this trend and from my point of view, it has many drawbacks.

There are some people holding to the view that verbal communication asserts its dominance over written communication. I wholeheartedly concur with this opinion and it will be explained in this essay.

In today's world, private companies rather than the government pay for and conduct most scientific research. Do you think the advantages outweigh disadvantages?

It is not uncommon for scientific 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 to be carried out by private 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 instead of the government in this age of rapid technological advancement. While this idea has several demerits, I would argue its potential for unlimited innovation and lower red tape can effectively nullify the disadvantages.

Some people think that individuals are born to be leaders, others believe leadership can be learnt. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

People have different views about what makes a great leader. While there are individuals who have the inborn ability to be leaders, I would argue that leadership is something we need to learn. On the one hand, it is true that many people are born to be leaders. Firstly, as those who are innately intelligent are able to think and react quickly in difficult situations, they can easily become good leaders. For instance, although my uncle, who is very smart, did not take part in any leadership training courses, he has successfully managed his own company for more than 20 years and has made a fortune with it. Secondly, individuals who are exceptionally talented would also find it easy to be trusted by others. Therefore, they are obvious candidates for top positions in organisations. Economic development has been cited as one of the most integral parts of both developed and less affluent countries to indicate a country’s power in the globe. However, while it is argued that economic progress is an essential goal for a country, I am in favour of the equal role of other sectors.

In modern societies, the consumption of processed food and soft drinks, which can exert detrimental impacts on human health, is rising rapidly. The question of whether these types of products should be banned from the market or not still remains controversial. Personally, I am firmly of the latter point of view.

In a number of countries, some people think it is necessary to spend large sums of money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities. Others believe the money should be spent on improving existing public transport. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is said that by some people that new modern railways systems for high-speed trains should be invested by governments, which links cities together but others believe that existing public conveyance should be more priority than others on improving. I argue that both these views have many positive aspects which will be discussed below.

It is true that nowadays the prison method to solve problems of crime is no longer the best way. Some people suggest that the authorities may provide education and job training for criminals to adjust their behavior and I completely agree with this view.

In the modern era, it goes without saying that globalization has left its footprint in almost every corner of the world and become a phenomenon that is worth large scale attention. There is a notion that globalization and the exceeding number of international enterprises have caused adverse effects on the environment. I personally in consummate accord with the aforementioned idea for the following reasons.
