In recent years, the structure of a family and the role of its members are gradually changing. What kinds of changes can occur? Do you think these changes are positive and negative?

Change is an integral part of life. Changes in the family structure and members' roles are inevitable, in the last few years. This shift in the structure and the roles can lead to some consequences. I think some of them are positive, or some others are negative.

It is better to save money than to spend it. How far do you agree with this statement? Is saving more important than spending in today’s world? Give reasons for your answer, and provide ideas and examples from your own experience.

In today's world, a large number of persons may be vulnerable to financial problems that occur on a daily basis. As a result, it is believed that saving a large amount of money is better than spend it. Saving money appears to me to have numerous advantages in our lives and in this essay, I will show why this is such an important issue.

Some people think that childcare centers provide the best services for children of preschool age. Other working parents think that family members such as grandparents will be better carers for their kids. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some parents are of the opinion that toddlers should be placed in the care of relatives, while others prefer to entrust their children to daycare centres. Although both options have their advantages and disadvantages, I highly recommend that preschool kids be sent to kindergartens to optimize their early cognitive development.

As time goes by, it is considered that the general stressed values should be practical such as science rather than arts by some people. Though it is understandable their point of view in some ways, aesthetic values still should not be neglected considering crucial factors to human beings.

Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree? What other measures do you think might be effective?

It is often argued that raising the cost of petrol is the best solution to tackle some problems which are the growth of traffic congestion and the environmental concern the side of pollution. In my opinion, I strongly agree with this point of view. However, improving public transportation and using solar power are other effective ways to solve the issue.

This statement says that everyone has the right to be aware of all information in scientific research, business and the academic world, however, some people think that it should have a price for access knowledge.

During the last decade, smartphones are becoming an integral part of everybody's life. Most people spend a huge amount of time using smartphones. This essay will discuss a couple of reasons in the forthcoming paragraphs.

There is a rapid increase of garbage that we generate an estimated 110 million tonnes per day of wastes to landfills in Hong Kong . This essay will discuss the main causes of the rise in rubbish , and the government also has key roles to play in reducing wastes.

Many think that people should try their best to combat climate change while others argue that it is better to get accustomed to it. In my opinion, although adaptation to climate change may bring opportunities for the government to invest in other fields, I believe that it is more necessary to fight climate change to make our world the best place to live.

For some people, children at early ages should not be punished when they misbehave. I completely agree because in my opinion, a toddler does not have the ability to understand the reason for a punishment and it makes it simple violence. In the following essay, this idea will be analysed as well as some other ways of reprimands that are more suitable for children.

Nowadays, it is commonly witnessed that previous people were keeping their belongings for a longer time than present generation people. The reasons and the possible effects of this problem will be discussed in the following paragraphs.

There are so many things in the world that can attach people to each other which is not dependent on your culture or ages such as music. It doesn't require any language and we have it every part of our lives due to ease of access. Therefore, I definitely agree that it is the best tool for bringing people together.

In their advertising, businesses nowadays usually emphasizes that their products are new in some way. Why is this? Do you think it is a positive or a negative development?

Nowadays companies are focusing more on how to advertise their same product in different ways. In my opinion, this is been done to attract customers and increase profit without implementing major changes in the product. Personally, I think that it is generally a negative development. This essay will analyze the reasons behind this phenomenon and why it is a negative trend.

People have different expectations for jobs. Some people prefer to do the same job for the same company, while others prefer to change jobs frequently. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Working long-term for a company or having short-term contracts with different companies remains a source of controversy in the field of jobs. In this essay, I will analyse both sides and the reasons why I think changing jobs frequently is more beneficial for the career path.

Ownership of mobile phones has risen dramatically in the recent years despite the potentially harmful effects they may have on our health and society. Governments should introduce measures to restrict ownership of mobile phones to those who need them for their work. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

In the last few decades, we have observed that there has been an exponential increase in different types of cellular devices, varying between low to high priced ones. This has led to an increase in the number of users of mobile phones as anyone can own them. Due to the easy access of this gadget, it has started harming people’s health and have an adverse impact on society. Some people think that restricting the ownership of mobile phones based on necessity should be put in action to reduce the harmful effects. But will this help?

•There are numbers of men and women who insist on the administration to allocate funds for space exploration while some believe that there are more important projects that need to be addressed. Firstly this essay will discuss the reasons for space voyaging and secondly, the detrimental effects of allocating funds for this exploration.

A country’s economic prosperity lies in the citizens’ hard work. While expanding citizens’ working hours, however, may bring a country more productivity to some degree, I do not agree that forcing people to keep a long working time could completely determine its economic power.

Nowadays, some workplaces tend to employ equal numbers of men and women workers. Do you think it is positive or negative development?

Today, there is an equal number of men and women employed by some of the multinational companies across the globe. In my opinion, I think it is advantageous progress particularly to provide employment opportunities to females and treating them as equal as males, while this still has few negligible disadvantages.

Rich countries often give financial aid to poor countries, but it does not solve poverty. So rich countries should give other types of help to poor countries rather than financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Underdeveloped countries receive a substantial amount of financial aid from the developed regions. An interesting point observed here is that providing monetary help will not eliminate the root cause. People believe that the focus should now be shifted towards helping other forms of assistance. I too strongly believe that this change in thinking will surely help in eradicating the actual issue.

Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Many people believed that advertising has become so ineffective, it nowadays does not interest society anymore. Meanwhile, others argue that the commercial is still taking effect. This essay argues that the broadcast is still encouraging the crowd to do shopping.
