Excessive use of disposable items such as bags, bottles and packaging which is made of plastic is harmful to both environment and humans. There are several problems associated with the overuse of plastic products but there are measures which could be implemented to improve the situation. This essay will look at the drawbacks of this and propose some solutions.

The world we live in has changed rapidly and the environment has been polluted badly. In addition to the different kinds of pollution we have, plastics contribute a lot to damaging the environment. And, the worry is that we cannot escape from it easily since it is available to us in so many shapes like plastic bags, bottles, and packages. The reason why plastic is so common is that it is easy to make and can be transformed into almost anything, from toys to utensils, furniture to foods packagings, and it can be used everywhere. This is alarming since we have not yet found any effective way to recycle it. Consequently, we end up dumping it in huge quantities in the oceans.
