Pressure on the school and university students is increasing and students are pushed to work hard when they are young. What are the positive and negative sides of it?

University has become much of a stressful environment which puts students in an always-active condition in order to withstand all the unbearable pressures. In my point of view, I believe this tendency brings both positives and negatives. On the positive side, I would argue that this tendency brings a wide range of benefits. First of all, students might study a variety of knowledge with all fields in their life. As a result, they might have experiences and opportunities to seek for a well-paid job with the ideal foundation that they had studied at university. Furthermore, when they work hard in early years, they can directly address problems arising in real life and might learn how to control themselves such as time management, financial management and many more. Job is an essential need of all people to survive. A job provides human beings to earn money and maintain their lives through these earnings. Choosing how to earn a living is not an easy decision and affects one’s whole life. Whether working for another firm or being self-employed both have advantages and disadvantages. Entrepreneurship involves more monetary gains and flexibility while giving more stress and workload; while working for firms contains less risk and constant salary while giving less investment chance and less flexibility.

‘Everybody should donate a fixed amount of their income to support charity.’ How far do you share this viewpoint?

All religions offer that the working people should donate a certain point of their income to support charity. It seems to me not correct, and I will explain why. Firstly, most employees pay 10% tax from their salary to state budget. The government allocate the welfare pension to vulnerable groups who need to help; in other words, a certain amount of the state budget is spent poor people by political sectors. From this situation considering, it can say that they donate some money to others every month. Secondly, those who support to charity can give something other than money; for example, foods, clothes, books and toys etc. Another reason is that workers with low income have major problems caused by money in their life.
