Starting in 1950, there was a steep increase in the birth rate,reaching its peak at 100000 persons in 1970 . However, following 1970 the rate of birth dropped dramatically, with a low point of just under 60000 persons in 1990. The next major change came following 1990, when its rate again increased slightly, rising to around 70000 persons in 2010.From that point onwards, the rate of birth showed a significant fall, with the number at just over 60000 persons in 2050.
