As most people spend a major part of their adult life at work, job satisfaction is an importantelement of individual wellbeing. What are the factors that contribute to job satisfaction? How realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all workers?

As the majority of adults spend most of their time at work, being content in their job is a crucial part of their health and happiness. This essay will first discuss how being respected and well paid contribute toward job satisfaction, and then I argue that expecting everyone to be happy with their career is unrealistic because many people’s circumstances force them to work in unfulfilling jobs. One factor that leads to people being satisfied with their job is being treated with respect.
