Public celebrations (such as national days, festivals etc) are held in most countries. These are often quite expensive and some people say that governments should spend money on more useful things. Do you agree or disagree?

The public display of culture through celebrations has been a matter of debate for years as most people argue for its necessity as it contributes to a huge loss in the nation’s capital. In the meantime, certain groups of people often express their dissatisfaction to the government cutting funds to such events, debating in support of large public celebrations, with the argument that those public celebrations are the sole identity of the nation. Both arguments are much compelling as there doesn’t exist a harsh dark and light in the situations, but it lies in the gray area in actuality.

With a fast pace of modern life more and more people are dependent on fast foods as their main meals. Do you think the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, people have consumed more fast food and this become a major trend in their eating habits. Fast foods bring some benefits to the people's life but have major thread to the human health.

Many students choose to take a gap year before starting university, to travel or gain work experience. Do you think this is a good idea or a waste of time?

A great number of high school graduates decide to take a one year break to travel or find jobs to gain more work experience before enrolling in higher education. Even Though many people hold the view that it is time-consuming to take a year off, I believe if the time is used reasonably, taking time off to see the world is a great idea.

Some peole believe that it is best to accept a bad situation. Such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Discuss both points and express your opinion.

No-one can cast a shadow of doubt on the fact that unpleasant situations are inevitable in life and also they are difficult to cope with such as financial problems and unrewarding professions. Some say that it is a must to accept these hardships as they are while others believe that there has to be a practical attitude for making more effort to overcome the challenges.I would argue that the second group has a better point of view due to the reasons which will be discussed in the following paragraphs.

Learning news from newspaper is not the only medium to get news. Other than newspapaer, people can get news from the other medium such as TV news, Web News Portal, and in some case social networking sites. In this modern era of internet, an individual doesn't have to rely on the newspaper for getting data about current affairs both in national and intertional aspect. Newspapers have fixed publication time, and it's not instantly avaiable, as other media can provide news faster.

Some people believe that schools and parents should act together to teach good behaviour to children and take responsilities from parents' shoulder. I totaly agree with that view because schools and parents have different meanings for child and these differences can be used together to educate children for become a good person.

Many people in poor countries die from diseases that are curable because they cannot afford the medication required. Do you believe that drug companies should make their products available at reduced prices in these countries?

With time the treatment procedures are becoming expensive. Many individuals can not buy medicines because of the high cost and lose their life although that was treatable. However, it is obligatory for the pharma-cuticle companies to reduce the price so everyone can buy the drugs for their survival in such countries.

Some children spend hours every day on their smartphones. Why is this the case? Do you think this is a positive or a nagative development?

The amount of screen time of children is concerning many adults, since most of the hours of the day are spent on smartphones. This essay will discuss some of the reasons why this might be the case and present arguments, why, in my opinion, this is a negative development.
