Today more and more tourists are visiting places where conditions are difficult, such as the Sahara desert or the Antarctic? Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for the locals?

Every day the amout of tourists that are going to places with harsh conditions is increasing, places like the Sahara desert or the cold Antarctic. It could be stated that the locals obtain many advantages for the amount of tourists that they recieve, however some people might have another point of view and could believe that it's a disadvantage for the locals. Personally, I believe that the increasing tourism has more advantages that it has disadvantages.

Government investment in the arts, such as music and theatre, is a waste of money. Governments must invest this money in public services instead. Do you agree or disagree?
