I truly disagree with the statement "they do more harm than good", as there were not enough premises to claim that they really do more harm. Internet sites and medical apps didn't invent for the same purpose thus they have nothing in common. According to the society beliefs, there are only a few people believe that online sources of medical advice could bring harm to them. Today, those digital platforms are intensely controlled by the legal act. Since establishment of relevant laws, the platform developers are required to make sure that the software systems are working in the appropriate manner. The statement can be true only in case of the user fault, as some users may intentionally use the platform in commercial ways for gaining of their own benefit. Therefore, the online digital platforms can do harm in such a mentioned way. Last but not least, even the online platforms could do harm.
