In the modern medicine, obesity is a major risk factor for many chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiac arrest, liver dysfunction, and kidney disease. Unfortunately, people are becoming overweight increasingly. Sugar craving and eating junk food are some of the probable causes of this situation. Health organizations have advertised against these false habits for a long time, but until now, their attempts have been unsuccessful. Some experts, believe that government could restrain this problem by reevaluating food prices based on their nutritional value. The more beneficial foods get lower price tags in compare to fattening ones. In this way, financial value will be add to their health benefits.

There are a lot of young people that spend too much of their time and money to follow the latest fashion trends in areas such as clothing and technology. It is that kind of people that will buy a new version of a product that a company release for their consumers to buy just because it has a slight improvement from the latest variation. The improvement may not be significant, but the price is far higher than the previous one. When we buy something that is new to us like new shoes, new phones, there is this feeling of satisfaction. The excitement where we watch as our shoes being packed, when we open the box at home and admire it, all of that doesn't count when you keep buying new things every week. The feeling of pleasure will surely dissipate.

Libraries are a waste of money, therefore, computers should be used to replace them. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Some people are of the opinion that libraries funding should be cut and the money invested in making computers available to the public instead. I mostly agree with this line of thought and the following paragraphs shall explain why this is the case. Firstly, libraries should not receive any more funding because they contain such a limited and often outdated amount of information. As soon as a book is published it goes out of date and cannot be updated without an entirely new copy being printed which is both costly and time-consuming. On the other hand, a computer connected to the internet overcomes both of these limitations with ease, for example, any web-site, pdf, or online journal can be continuously updated by the authors and there is no time wasted in printing of the book. “Experience is the best teacher” is an old cliché, but I agree with it. The most important, and sometimes the hardest, lessons we learn in life come from our participation in situations. You can’ learn everything from a book. Of course, learning from books in a formal educational setting is also valuable. It’s in schools that we learn the information we need to function in our society. We learn how to speak and write and understand mathematical equations. This is all information that we need to live in our communities and earn a living. Nevertheless, I think that the most important lessons can’t be taught; they have to be experienced. No one can teach us how to get along with others or how to have self- respect. As we grow from children into teenagers, no one can teach us how to deal with peer pressure. As we leave adolescence behind and enter adult life, no one can teach us how to fall in love and get married. This shouldn’t stop us from looking for guidelines along the way...
