In the Crankshaft line, there were several CNC machines available—a total of 9 machines in 8 stations. In the first three machines, only one machine is available in each operation, whereas in other stations, two machines were available for each station from OP 40 to OP 80. OP 10, 20, and 30 were used for pin grinding, and OP 40 to OP 70 were used for shaft grinding. In the case of shaft grinding, feedback was important, which we collected by using a Marposs gauge. When the gauge confirmed the set point, it gave a digital signal to the PLC. Here, calibration was important. For calibration, first, I use a master product to confirm the data. Then, we stored it in the gauge. There were two fingers connected to the product, which gave the data to the gauge. If data match with the stored data the operation was finished.
