Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

In today's world, individuals try to learn one more language than mother tongue to end up with their aims. While, some people think this only can lead to increase in job and study opportunities for individuals, others believe that this can have more benefits. I personally will illustrate my agreement with the second idea.

The population in most parts of the- world is ageing; people are living longer and there are fewer younger people in many places as birth rates fall. This phenomenon has pros and cons, but this e-ssay will contend that, on balance, the advantages of having an older population outweigh the negatives. The first issue that occurs to many people when considering the ageing population is the expense. If people live longer, they may have more than 30 '(ears of retirement and may need to be supported financially by the government or their families. If they experience age-related illness, this impacts the health system and tates up resources needed by other people in society. Many today have argued for the importance of children having greater responsibility in the home. I am generally in agreement with this position, though it should naturally not be taken to extremes. Critics of such an approach maintain that it can overburden young children. In many societies around the world today, children are under immense pressure at school to perform well academically. In many Asian countries, for example, young children must study at school until the late afternoon, have dinner, and then take additional classes before doing their homework each night. If these students were also tasked with cleaning the house or washing their own clothes, they simply would not have enough time to complete all their responsibilities and rest for the next day. There is a responsibility for workers people to save for their retirement scheme as the authorities do not have the obligation to provide for this benefit. I do not agree with the latter statement because from my perspective the government should provide a state pension for those who are working their whole life.
