Logan currently has a population of 334,358 people, comprising 217 nationalities and cultures, with approximately 50% of residents aged 30 or younger (Logan city 2019). The Logan City was represented in the media with lacks of security and high profile of violent crimes (RF). The City's representation also described as "Brazen youth gangs terrorising Brisbane" (RF). The city was ranked as Brisbane’s top suburbs for car and home theft insurance claims, and yet Logans have a reputation about shit-faced and inter-generational welfare dependency (RF). The media have revealed negative images of Logan community and had disadvantaged people of the community basis of stereotypes and discriminatory attitudes, and only focused on certain people.
