Nowadays many people choose to be self-employed, rather than to work for a company or organisation. Why might this be the case? What could be the disadvantages of being self-employed?

It is universally acknowledged that the type of work has a significant effect on diverse spheres of individuality. The dilemma of opting between being own boss and working under the boss ends the inclination towards self-employment which will be argued the reasons for this tendency and the drawbacks of it.

Government investment in the arts, such as music and theatre, is a waste of money. Governments must invest this money in public services instead. Do you agree or disagree?

Throughout the history, the portion of state’s budget has invested in arts sector all over the world. However, the allocation of budgets into arts or public services is a matter of debate. Some experts mention that there is need to invest more in the cultural sites in cities, while others believe it is wasting money and anticipate public facilities are more crucial instead of music or theatre. I am actually in favour of the prior argument for two main reasons.

Food additives, including excessive amounts of salt and sugar, are meant to make the food more attractive and tastier, yet it becomes unhealthy. Its frequent consumption causes different chronic diseases including metabolic disorders, pancreatitis, blood pressure problems, and food allergies. As the government is partly responsible for the health of the nation, it may take control over the food producers on the ingredients they use in food. By fining those companies which use monosodium glutamate (E621), and other dangerous food additives in high concentrations, the government may force the others to follow a healthier approach to food preparation.

Food quality was, is, and should be one of the strategic goals of the government. There are several ways to improve it and taxation increase is the easiest way to control an unhealthy food consumption. This is because if fast food price increases one day, the number of consumers will definitely decrease and people will start eating things that are more nutritious. It is the basic supply and demand economic law, which states "the more product costs, the less people consume it". According to an interview with McDonalds top management, 50% of costs consist of taxes, so it's increase will undoubtedly decrease sales figures.

A healthy lifestyle has become a huge trend in the Western world in the 21 century, so people try use all available resources, starting with classical walks or professional gyms. Both ways help to achieve an untimate goal "stay fit", and each way has its own advantages.

It is sometimes argued that professionals like engineers and doctors should obligated to be employee in the state, where they studied. Nonetheless, there are those who consider that they should be free to work in another country where they want. In my opinion, workers, such as engineers and doctors have a right to work everywhere, not only in the country which they acquired knowledge. Firstly, this essay will discuss a requirement for several types of professionals to work in the country, where they trained and, secondly, an independent choice of workers where they work.
