The plans below show the layout of the ground floor of a museum in 1990 and in 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two plans below show modifications made to the ground floor of a museum in 1990 and in 2010. The most significant change was to the northern part of the room, where  the  Archaeology gallery was replaced by two areas, named Children’s interactive zone and Poster display area, separated with a wall between. Moreover, a café was included in the gift shop in 2010, located in the western part of the ground floor.  Also, a lift was built between the Natural history room and the Gift shop with a café. Another noticeable alteration is that the statue was replaced from the western part to the center of the room. The reception gallery in 1990 stood right near to the Museum office, while in 2010 it was positioned diagonally. The entrance was enlarged in 2010, replacing the wall near with the Local history room, which remained the same since 1990. Stairs stay the same as in 1990. Overall, a number of huge alterations were made to the ground floor of the museum in the period from 1990 to 2010.

Secondhand smoke is a well-documented health hazard, posing serious risks to non-smokers, including children and individuals with respiratory conditions. By prohibiting smoking in public areas, the government would be safeguarding the well-being of the general populace, reducing the incidence of smoking-related illnesses, and promoting a healthier environment. While the restriction may impinge on individual freedoms, the collective benefit to public health and the reduction of healthcare costs make it a justifiable and necessary measure. In conclusion, prioritizing the health and safety of the broader community outweighs the inconvenience to individual smokers.
