From shopping bags to water bottles, plastic is a necessary material for our society today. Since Kyoto protocol was held in Japan more than 10 years ago, the number of nations that are trying to reduce the production of plastic have increased. Especially many countries in EU have succeeded to cut plastic waste during the recent years. Japan, however, is one nation that still heavily rely on plastic and hardly foresee a future without plastic. This essay is going to discuss about the damage towards environment that are triggered by plastic in the first half and will point out some ideas to solve this problem in the latter half.
